8 Easy Family Halloween Costumes

Found yourself looking for a last minute Halloween costume for the fam? Yep, join the club. Luckily, we've rounded up 8 options.

Halloween is right around the corner and if you’re anything like us, you’re scrambling for last minute costume ideas for the family. Whether you want to opt for full-blown spooky or wholesome, we’ve done all the research on low-lift Halloween costumes so that you don’t have to. Here’s the roundup.

The Addams family

The OG family Halloween costume. If you’re someone that loves to lean into the Halloween spirit, this one’s for you. Vampy, fun and family-oriented, all you need is some black clothes, a striped shirt for your little one, and a top hat for your S.O if you’re really going for it.

Fruit salad

Each family member gets to represent the fruit of their choice and voila, you have a coordinating costume for the fam. Opt for a red t-shirt and a green beret and go as a strawberry or simply throw on an all blue outfit and call it a blueberry. Admittedly, we’re biased towards fresh fruits and veggies but honestly, what’s cuter than a chubby baby dressed up as a tiny banana?

Ice ice baby

If you’re a two parent household, this one’s for you. Cut a hole in a clear trash bag, write “Ice” across the front, throw some sunglasses on your babe and BOOM: Ice, ice baby…You’re welcome.

Hocus Pocus

The ultimate Halloween MOOD. The game plan for transforming into everyone’s favorite spooky sisters? Grab a couple of wacky wigs, long dresses, a black pot and of course, your most chaotic energy.

Ted Lasso

Ah yes, the eternal optimist that has stolen the hearts of, well, everyone. Slap on a mustache, some aviators and a whistle to go as the man himself, dress your babe in a soccer player’s jersey to be one of the players, and have the lady of the house don heels and an epic outfit to go as Rebecca. Talk about a winning costume.

The Lion King

Mufasa, Sarabi and Simba? Talk about #Famgoals. Grab your closest lion’s mane and tan monochromatic *lewk* and you’re good to go.

Peanut butter and jelly

This one is timeless. Whether you have the perfect Wonder Bread vintage tee or a full-blown jelly jar costume, this one is bound to be a crowd-pleaser.

Wizard of Oz

Throw on some red heels, a checkered dress or shirt and some pigtails for Dorothy, some overalls for the scarecrow, and cue that monochromatic tan lewk we just talked about for the lion and follow the yellow brick road…If you’d rather opt for the Wicked Witch of the West, simply grab some green face paint, a black dress and a witch hat and you’ve taken this look from wholesome to spooky.
