If you’re starting solids with your little one this season, you’re in luck. Little Spoon has delicious organic Babyblends that boast the best flavors of spring so that your babe can dive into fresh foods headfirst (literally). Here are our favorite spring ingredients to introduce to your baby.

Spinach and Kale

Spring brings an abundance of tender, leafy greens like spinach and kale. These greens are rich in essential vitamins that will benefit your babe such as folate, iron, and calcium. But, as we all know, greens can be intimidating for early eaters. That’s why we recommend introducing these nutrient powerhouses with our Blueberry Rosemary Tart or Avocado Greens Bowl. Both of these blends are made with more approachable produce your little will love.

Peas

Peas are a great source of protein, fiber, and essential nutrients like vitamin C and vitamin K. Our Pea Pear Mint blend is a simple + refreshing way to introduce this small but mighty ingredient to your little one.

Strawberries

Delicious and packed with antioxidants, strawberries are our personal favorite seasonal ingredient. That’s why we created our Limited Edition Strawberry Rhubarb Babyblend, made with coconut milk, rhubarb, butternut squash, vanilla bean and farm fresh strawberries…It’s a best seller for a reason.

Beets

Root veggies like beets are also in season during spring. Beets are loaded with antioxidants, folate and magnesium. Our favorite way to introduce this ingredient is with our Strawberry Basil Gazpacho, made with strawberry, basil, beet, pear and chia (two seasonal ingredients in one blend?! Yes please).

Avocado

Avocados are one of the best ingredients to introduce to your baby. They have tons of healthy fats and calories that will keep your little satiated. Plus, they provide a delicious texture in any puree. That’s why we added it into our Tuscan Quinoa and White Bean Soup…Just trust us on this one!
