How to Bring Little Spoon on the Road

Roadtrips, rest stops, routines—oh my! Got family travel plans coming up? Don't worry because we're here to keep mealtime intact. Here's our best tips and tricks for bringing Little Spoon on the road!

Because your kid’s stomach doesn’t care that you’re on vacation.

You planned the perfect road trip. National Parks. Cheesy landmarks. Matching T-shirts for the family photo. Cute. But here’s the thing: kids don’t travel light. Especially not when it comes to snacks. The second your wheels hit the road, they’ll be “starving” every 20 minutes.

That’s where we come in. Little Spoon = the fully loaded cooler that saves you from gas station jerky with unrecognizable ingredients to those questionable diner pancakes. Here’s how to bring us along for the ride without losing your mind:

  1. Ice packs are your best friend: Smoothies and YoGos and Babyblends, oh my. All of our cold items travel like pros when packed in an insulated bag with ice packs. Trust: there is nothing cute about a lukewarm Strawberry Banana Smoothie. If you’re prepping a few days’ worth of food, freeze the extras before you go—by the time you arrive, everything will still be chill (literally). As long as it stays cold to the touch, you’re good to go.
  1. Keep it warm, keep it chill: Just because you’re on the road doesn’t mean you have to settle for limp nuggets or mystery fries. Our Biteables and Plates, heat up fast and stay warm in a Thermos or bento box. Our fave? The Little Spoon Bento Box—designed to keep grains, veggies and proteins perfectly separated, even if your toddler demands the chicken not touch the broccoli. Respect.
  2. Snacks are the real MVP: No road trip is complete without an all-star snack stash. Our Snacks are made with hidden veggies, zero junk and flavors your kids will actually eat. Sweet, savory, fruity—we’ve got something for every mini passenger.

Pro tip: pre-portion Veggie Loops or Baby Puffs in baggies to avoid the dreaded “my tummy hurts” when you’re 40 miles from the next bathroom.
  1. Double whatever you think you need: If you think you’ve packed enough snacks, wipes or bibs, you haven’t. Double it. Triple it. Add a backup to your backup. And don’t forget the clean-up crew—road trip spills are inevitable, and no one wants to find a half-eaten YoGo wedged between the seats three states later.

And that’s it—you’re road trip ready. You’ve got this, and we’ve got you. Questions? Our Care Team is just a message away. Safe travels and happy snacking 💙
