Dr. Lucy Leibowitz is a pediatric psychologist (licensed in Maryland and Virginia). Her current roles include being "in-house" within a pediatrician's office, providing assessment and therapy services through her private practice, and supervising doctoral student trainees. Her clinical specialties are in assessing and delivering interventions for parents and children with behavioral concerns, anxiety and depression, tantrums, ADHD, and sleep problems across ages. Shira R. Levy, NCSP, MAPP, is a trainer, School Psychologist, Registered Psychology Associate, children's book author, and Positive Psychology expert. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College, Master of Psychology from Towson University, and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania. Shira brings Positive Psychology, Positive Education, and strengths-based approaches to her clients, helping to create flourishing communities. As a mother of two, Shira is particularly passionate about strengths-based parenting. She is the founder of Baltimore Thrives, LLC and co-author of Stan and the Four Fantastic Powers: First Ever Appreciative Inquiry Book for Kids, a book that emphasizes intergenerational conversations to help children dream and design the future, creating a sense of ownership, hope and pride. Over the past two years Shira has trained over 1,000 educators in Positive Education, the intertwining of wellbeing and academics to create thriving schools and communities.
