Summer is here, and that means family vacations, big outings, and overall more time spent with our kids. While we love family time, it’s sometimes a struggle to find (or rediscover) the right pace and balance of at-home activities, especially with the strong personalities of our kiddos. We thought it would be fun to dig deeper into each astrological sign to help navigate the long days with your kids for a smooth sailing this summer.

Aries 

(March 21-April 19)

“What are we doing tomorrow?” If you have an Aries babe on your hands, they are likely to be up and raring to go – no alarm necessary! Aries is the doer of the zodiac and energy that signals the start of spring. So basically, any Aries little is going to have the drive and steadfast charge to get the day started and they will no doubt, make sure everyone is staying active (even if it means being a little bossy).

Taurus

(April 20-May 20)

“Is it time for a nap?” If you have a Taurus babe on your hands, you can count on them always being ready for two things: sleep and a snack! These grounded yet headstrong littles prefer getting into the groove of a routine, so don’t be surprised if they try to opt out of a spontaneous outing. If you’re looking for an activity to enjoy together, plan a leisurely walk around the park or a casual hike in the forest. Just make sure to bring extra snacks.

Gemini

(May 21-June 20)

“Can we have a play date today?” Geminis have quite the ball of effervescent energy to entertain! Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication (and miscommunication ala Mercury Retrograde), so these kiddos wake up thinking and talking about everything under the sun. They love to engage with others and have the ability to effortlessly bounce from one thing to the next, so keep your little Gemini stimulated by engaging in spontaneous activities.

Cancer 

(June 21-July 22)

“Let’s do something as a family.” Cancer kiddos are the happiest when spending quality time with their family. After all, this zodiac sign represents family, so don’t be surprised if they prefer to stay at home with you. Help nurture your little’s imagination by putting on some soft music and letting them play on their own. Due to their empathetic nature, these minis will need a little place and space to retreat if they’re feeling overstimulated. 

Leo 

(July 23-August 22)

“I’ll take the lead on this!” Leos bring the sunshine, even on a cloudy day! Summer babies, Leo is a fire sign ruled by the Sun, and these kiddos embody that with their bright and spirited attitudes. Contrary to popular belief, Leos can be shy at first, so fit in some time each day to make your little Leo feel like they are center stage, and that should give them the boost they need to be confident and brave. Then step back and watch them shine.

Virgo 

(August 23-September 22)

“Let me help you take care of that.” Virgos are naturally hands-on helpers and are always willing to help out. Invite them to help you with a household chore or prep a healthy meal. Virgos are known for their desire to be in service to others, but with that, comes the need to retreat and reset, so make sure they have that space in their day if they need it. A peaceful trip to the botanic garden is right up this earth sign’s alley. Be sure to share lots of facts, Virgos are curious and love gathering more information. 

Libra 

(September 23-October 22)

“Can my friend come over?” If you have a Libra babe on your hands, “better together” is their motto and they will aim to embody that at every turn. Libra is a Cardinal sign which makes them a driven doer of the zodiac. Libras fuel their vitality within relationships, so these kiddos are going to want to do, do, do so long as someone is in it with them, be it a friend or a parent. Scorpio
