12 Products for Easy Mealtime With Babies and Toddlers

From starting solids to those toddler years, we've rounded up the best products for your babies and big kids to make mealtime a little easier.

When it’s time for your baby to start solids up until they are in full-blown toddler mode, it can be so overwhelming to pick out which products to buy for mealtime. There is a TON out there—bowls that suction to the table, cups with no-spill features, plates with non-slip features…the list goes on and on.

So as a mom who constantly is posting about food for my toddler, and has tested a lot of products out there, I’m here to share with you my favorites and what we use at home. If you’re just starting solids or have a toddler, check out this list broken down by category below.

Hope you find this helps narrow it down for you! Happy shopping!

Utensils

Munchkin Gentle Silicone Spoons: We used these when my son first started purees at 4 months and for some solids when he was a baby. They are soft and easy to hold.

Munchkin Raise Toddler Fork Spoon Set: We then transitioned to this set when he was around 1 ½ years old. The base keeps the utensil tip from touching the table and it fits well in his small hands. The fork also picks up food better vs. silicone forks.

Cutlery Stainless Steel Silverware Transition Set: Now at 2 ½ years old, we are starting to work on knife skills. The utensils in this set are easy to hold and easy to use.

Cups

Ezpz Tiny Cup: This is perfect for babies to start practicing drinking from an open cup. It’s size is ideal for babies and the silicone cup is gentle on their teeth.

Ezpz Mini Cup: Just like the Tiny Cup but for toddlers!

Philips Avent Straw Cup: This is the cup my son learned how to drink from a straw with. We also use this cup for smoothies every morning.

Thermos Funtainer Bottle: We use this bottle for water! I have tested a few and this one is my favorite so far. It doesn’t spill or leak, and is super easy to drink from, open and close.

Plates

Ezpz Mini Mat: We used this plate starting at around 6 months and it always worked well for us, fit enough food and my son rarely was able to pull it off from the table. We stopped using it at around 2 years old, and it held up great for that year and a half!

Skip Hop Non-Slip Plates: Once my son turned 2, I wanted to use a simple plate and move away from the divided ones. This plate has a great non-slip feature to prevent slipping and sliding on the table. We use these plates for pretty much every meal and snacks at home.

Bowl

Avanchy Bamboo Suction Bowl: We have used this bowl for close to 2 years now and I love it! It not only has a beautiful design, but the suction feature actually works! It’s the perfect size for babies and toddlers.

On-The-Go

Lunchbots Protein Packer: This is a great on-the-go container for snacks! Made out of stainless steel, it holds four different types of foods and is the ideal size for toddlers.

Little Spoon Plates: This line of healthy, clean toddler and kid’s meals absolutely saves me on busy days. I keep these stocked in our home so we can pop them in the microwave and have dinner on the table in minutes. My son absolutely loves the Three Cheese Tortellini and I love knowing he’s getting a balanced meal when I don’t have time to cook.
