Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a mom of one boy and the owner of a mommy lifestyle magazine.

What 3 words best describe your parenting experience to date?

Challenging, rewarding, exhausting

What’s one of the hardest or most surprising things about being a parent that people wouldn’t expect or don’t usually talk about?

When your child is sick and they are unable to explain what’s wrong, you have to kind of use context clues and your best judgment to figure it out.

What were some of your “ this normal??” moments once you became a parent?

When I started my breastfeeding journey, it was extremely painful and I cried every time I had to feed my baby. I started to sink into a depression and became extremely sad and miserable. I then asked myself, is this normal? It’s when I realized I was going through postpartum depression.

What’s one of your favorite parenting hacks that helps keep you sane (that other parents should know about and start doing ASAP)?

My favorite parenting hack is to give my son his own snack when I want to eat mine. I can finally indulge in whatever I want without waiting on nap time or hiding in dark corners.
