THIS IS NORMAL
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
FT SAHM of 2 sassy little girls – I love all things sparkly, balloons, a bright sunny day, trips to the zoo with my 2 year old and currently craving Shake Shack cheese fries.
What 3 words best describe your parenting experience to date?
Exciting, surprising, volatile
What’s one of the hardest or most surprising things about being a parent that people wouldn’t expect or don’t usually talk about?
How lonely you can feel even though there’s a human being(s) attached to your side
What were some of your “wait...is this normal??” moments once you became a parent?
There is no TMI once you have given birth – because you are just hanging out there with your privates for all of the hospital to see. Your boobs are no longer yours – they belong to the baby and the pump.
What’s one of your favorite parenting hacks that helps keep you sane (that other parents should know about and start doing ASAP)?
Finding your people ASAP. I had a few moms that i could text at all hours of the day when i first gave birth to when I went back to work. Now I have another group of mom friends that all have 2 kids (or on their way to 2 ) that I can text pretty much anytime when I am about to lose my shit or share my frustrations with.
