Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a first time mom who’s striving to do it all! I am an early childhood educator, creator of mom blog Mo’ Mommies and co-founder of Union Square Play. I have a bunch of other things in the works, all meant to better the lives of moms and their young children!

What 3 words best describe your parenting experience to date?

Insane, crazy, but incredible.

What’s one of the hardest or most surprising things about being a parent that people wouldn’t expect or don’t usually talk about?

The struggle with the juggle. People just juggled but didn’t talk or show that it’s a struggle! Finding out how to have a career, or deciding if you want one, then finding childcare or the right nanny, etc. It’s really hard managing and building your village, and I was blown away but how little people talked about that!

What were some of your “ this normal??” moments once you became a parent?

There’s so many, lol. I guess the first one was “Is it normal I feel guilty breastfeeding?” I was told it could be the cause of her gas issues but I didn’t want to stop! I also didn’t want to end the stage of my body somewhat being there to support and sustain her. It had for so long – IVF, pregnancy, then breastfeeding…I wanted to stay in the Tess cocoon, not sure if that sounds normal haha.

What’s one of your favorite parenting hacks that helps keep you sane (that other parents should know about and start doing ASAP)?
