I am happily married to my husband Dave and a working mom of four to a 5.5-year-old girl Mia, 2-year-old girl Hannah and 5.5-month-old identical twin boys Bryce and Brooks. What 3 words best describe your parenting experience to date?

Rewarding, Fun, Exhausting!

What’s one of the hardest or most surprising things about being a parent that people wouldn’t expect or don’t usually talk about?

Being a parent happens morning, noon and night and does not stop when you go to work, when the kids are at school or if you or they are sleeping. It is rarely easy and instead demands a level of selflessness and patience that people may not expect between the happy memories and the countless throw up, sleepless nights, potty training, bullying and teething episodes in between…

What were some of your “ this normal??” moments once you became a parent?

Teaching her how to wipe down there during potty training and answering those “what is that questions,” eating straight out of the leftover containers standing up next to the fridge without heating up just to get a bite of nourishment, choosing between showering, brushing teeth and going to the bathroom during the 3 minutes of downtime, asking your then 4-year-old to be a co-parent to newborn twins…

What’s one of your favorite parenting hacks that helps keep you sane (that other parents should know about and start doing ASAP)?

Put the kids to bed in their clothes for the next day!
